Screenwriting: Less is more?

Less is more? Screenwriting

The great Mark Twain once said, "If I'd had more time, I'd have written a shorter letter." What are some of your "less is more" beliefs, and what do you do to try and scale back your writing to make a more digestible screenplay?

@Kari : I ALWAYS write an outline and it keeps me grounded in the STORY. So don't feel soooooo alone .... smile.

Kari, I think a majority of the people do write an outlne first. I was actually surprised that there are other people around like myself that don't like to write outlines first. I guess as long as the script doesn't suck when I am done I am happy and I can do other things I enjoy more.
