I would like to hear a professional take on the movie, "Stone" with Robert De Niro and Edward Norton. I just spent an hour and forty-five minutes watching it and was not entertained. Perhaps it is my naiveté or lack of cinematic sagacity, but It started to feel like the actors were playing the roles in front of a mirror and not for an audience. The vague religious overtones seemed pointless and noncommittal. The plot is like a Kafka story only nobody ever turns into a giant cockroach. Character arcs seem to follow the curvature of the earth. My dog likes bad movies, but even he went to sleep.

What attracted these consummate stars to this project? Why did the house burn down? (nice old house too) What's the point? Are Scootie and I missing something?
