As I began to go through the Hollywood Creative Directory armed with my nifty new query letter, I quickly discovered that without an agent or attorney, the juiciest contacts required representation. I have read quite a bit about finding an agent, but I was wondering what designates an "entertainment" attorney. Can any attorney represent a writer to the major studios, or must the attorney have some special designation to satisfy their requirements? Some of the readers who contacted me with this technical rejection indicated that they liked my query letter and would have requested a read were the screenplay presented properly. I know I probably can't get an agent with only one screenplay.
Thanks Steven. Means a lot to me.
Hey Frank, definitely don't stop writing. Good luck with your other scripts!
