Thank you SO much for sharing all this! I just hope I could read the whole series sooner - as it happens, I'm doing an analysis on the film Sideways for my MA in Screenwriting course! Have to turn the assignment in on Dec 16th, but this has already been a great additional, and magically unexpected source of information! Eagerly waiting for part II :) LOVE how you described the way you write to Phyllis: "Heart pumping in my hand and held out to the world." That's a beautiful way to put it.
