Patricia, when I answered your message this morning I was so excited about you being a Mexican/Kickapoo that I'm afraid I may have led you to believe there was more Kickapoo than there really is in my Custer and His Naked Ladies book. They are just mentioned at the end. If you have, perhaps, already purchased the book and are not happy, I will personally refund your money. Thanks so much for your interest!

Expand commentPatricia, I'm a Native Oklahoman who is Hispanic/Anglo. Three of my books, my Turtle Trilogy, have content about the Indians on the Ft. Sill Reservation. They are: A Three-Turtle Summer, As Brown As I Want: The Indianhead Diaries, and Custer and His Naked Ladies. The stories incorporated into my book are remembrances from my childhood, as my family was friendly with the Kiowas and Comanches. One of the last times I was home, Indians I spoke to didn't remember the powwow etiquette that we lived by in the 50s. How things have changed! My books recall some of those memories. More about me and my books can be found on my website: www.JanelleMerazHooper.com/ Is this anything you can use On Native Ground? If itisn't, please give me an idea of what info I can provide. Thanks so much! Janelle
