For a short film produced by City College Brighton & Hove actors required working on a voluntary basis for student film project. “Vigilante” is a mockumentary style film about a documentary crew investigating the alleged rise in vigilantism as a response to Police cuts. They meet and follow Stuart Carpets a man who has taken it upon himself to defend his local community. Stuart (main role): Medium to large build. In his 30’s. Un-athletic looking. This role will require the actor to occasionally improvise and expand on script material. He need to feel comfortable wearing a ninja dress. He should be willing to be filmed running, working out in a gym and boxing against bags all in a gym environment. Two days filming 0900 – 1600 on the 4th and 11th of May 2012 in Brighton. Mrs Carpets: 60+. The mother of the protagonist Stuart. He still lives with her and is the apple of her eye. She is a maternal character who believes everything her son tells her but cannot resist correcting him at every opportunity. This role will be filmed exclusively on location in a house in Brighton.
