Hate 3D? THE HOBBIT @ 48 frames-per-second... cinematography

For all that hate 3D -- here is a new complaint and point of dissatisfaction with 'new' technologies available for artists. @ CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Peter Jackson showed an extended clip of THE HOBBIT, to be released in 3D @ 48 (not 24) frames-per-second. Guess it didn't go over well with the masses!

Personally, I like seeing what artists can do with 'new' technology -- I love pushing the envelope on everything, whether it sticks long term or not.

Only time will tell. All comes down to profit. Movies ARE a business.
