UPDATE 9/11/12:
We just finished casting! We are now looking for crew members as listed below. Please remember, this is a low budget short film on which everyone is contributing there time and skills for their love of the project in return for copy/meals/credit.

“The Mind Game” is an intense, dark, and gritty film that will have you on the edge of your seat. It’s centered around one female detective’s struggle between following her maternal instinct and following the law.

Wise Rabbit Films is excited to be teaming up with Emerald Motion Pictures for the first time to produce this thrilling film. In 2011, Emerald Motion Pictures won both a Bronze People’s Telly Award and a Gold EMPixx Award for its most recent short film, “A Doll Named Charlotte”.

Pre-production for “The Mind Game” has already begun. We have secured the shooting location in a suburban Las Vegas neighborhood, and principal photography begins November 12, 2012 and is expected to last 4-5 days at most.

In addition, we have secured the male lead actor. We just lost our female lead due to unforeseen/unavoidable circumstances and need to recast. The lead male role is being played by David Mingrino. He is a seasoned actor that brings an intense level to the loathsome villain.

BREAKDOWNS:
DETECTIVE KATHERINE BRIGHT
Age range: early 30's to early 40's. Ethnicity is white. She is tall, physically fit, attractive, and intense. She prides herself on being a good mom and a great detective. MUST HAVE DRAMATIC ON-SCREEN EXPERIENCE.

MARY
16 years old. Ethnicity is open. She has an average build. She is a sensitive, shy, and intelligent babysitter. She gets kidnapped, tied up, and gaged for several hours and knows she might be killed any minute. MUST HAVE DRAMATIC ON-SCREEN ACTING EXPERIENCE. MUST BE ABLE TO CRY ON CUE.

AMY BRIGHT:
5 years old. Ethnicity is white. She has an average build. She is cute and well behaved. Her Mom works a lot, so she misses her Mom very much. She hasn’t been sleeping well lately, because she’s been having nightmares. MUST HAVE DRAMATIC ON-SCREEN ACTING EXPERIENCE. MUST BE ABLE TO CRY ON CUE.

This will be for “Copy, Credit, Meals”.

We are still seeking some additional funding for music scoring and festival submissions through our listing on Kickstarter, which will be going live soon, but will be shooting regardless of reaching that goal.

We will be shooting for 4 or 5 days in Las Vegas. Approximately 12 hour days.
