Jones began his career by writing and directing two feature films "Teenage Wasteland" (2006) and "The Feral Generation" (2007) which both won Best Film awards at UK film festivals. After venturing into the horror genre with screenwriting commissions for KOA Entertainment and Thunderball Films, Jones set up North Bank Entertainment to produce 2-4 low budget genre feature films per year for the Home Entertainment market in the UK and North America.
North Bank teamed up with Mad Science Films and financiers Independent Moving Pictures for the company's first production "Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection" (2012), a British remake of the 1968 zombie classic. The project was shot on location in South Wales with Jones serving as co-writer and producer. The film was acquired by Grindstone Entertainment Group and Lionsgate Home Entertainment for North American distribution. 4Digital Media acquired the UK distribution rights and the film opened on Friday 30th November 2012 in a limited UK theatrical release through major multiplex Cineworld followed by a multi platform Home Entertainment release in 2013.
North Bank Entertainment reunited with Mad Science Films and Independent Moving Pictures for "Silent Night, Bloody Night: The Homecoming" (2012), a remake of the cult slasher film "Silent Night, Bloody Night" (1974). Filming took place in South Wales with a cast that included "Friday the 13th" (1980) horror icon Adrienne King. Jones once again served as co-writer and producer. UK distribution rights were acquired by 101 Films with Elite Entertainment taking North American and International rights.
North Bank collaborated with Independent Moving Pictures and Mad Science Films for a third time on "The Amityville Asylum" (2013), a psychological horror film loosely connected to the real life 1974 DeFeo murder case. Jones wrote, produced and directed the film. UK distribution rights were acquired by 4Digital Media for a multi platform release in 2013.
Andrew Jones' other screenwriting credits include Robomonkey Productions' "Death House Dolls", an adaptation of the best selling novel "A Study in Red: The Secret Journal of Jack the Ripper" and Ruggero Deodato's "The House on the Edge of the Park Part II".
