Thanks for the interest and support everyone. I am currently searching for a producer. If someone is interested they would need to be ready to dig in on the fundraising and budgetting. Ideally I would like to raise $7,000 via Kickstarter or other crowdfunding option and $5,000 via grants/traditional fundraising to cover post, promotion and distribution. Another option would be to skip ahead to developing the project as a feature and/or shooting the short for a minimal budget. I've changed the films name to 'Mary'. the previous title while eye catching did not reflect well the focus of the story; the development of the young woman's confidence and character.
Currently developing a marketing plan for freelance film and video production. Best advice which I hope to put into practice: focus on achieving your ultimate goal which for me is feature film. So I will continue to research the industry in order to pinpoint creative marketing opportunities while developing relationships with like minded professionals.
