Synopsis:
This is a trilogy of short films connected not by plot, but by anthropological premise.

Tracing the shockwaves of unique events, the trilogy weaves its way through critical stages in the lives of three characters. It documents unique thoughts and questions the perception of understanding through experience.

Split into three distinct cinematic shorts, unique in both style and narrative form. Each story is a distillation of the characters ambition, and applied understanding. You may not be able to escape the human condition completely, but how close can you get?

From magical realism, to spectular adventures and explosive confrontations - Sapiens spans genre, location and culture.

Plot Outline:

Temperament

A girl and her violin - A wandering girl forced into visiting her disabled aunt, discovers the connections she can make through sound and music. Exploring the twisting towers of a dilapidated hospice, she becomes lost in a world with a slower pace. A wistful story of naivety, magic and a child's view of truth.

Journey

The Painted Nomad - A diary of experience, our central character struggles against his appetite for movement, stuck treading water. A study of limits and hard lessons, with a backdrop of breathtaking landscapes, vivid culture and the force of weather.

Beginnings

A Tale Of The Sky - A summers evening upon deserted farm land, childish games, and crunching of leaves fighting a restless silence. A boy becomes silent witness to a life changing event, something he cannot understand - but it demands his attention.

Each short film will be a self contained production, aimed at specific festival selection and competition entry.

About the crew:
We were Virgin Media Shorts Finalists last year, our first ever attempt at entry, and are currently gearing up for another round of competition and film festival entries. Roll on 2012!
