Hello, I would like to ask if you think that selling a script not only takes skill and craft, but timing as well? I'm sure there are a lot of great scripts out there, but most are not right at this moment. Cause I also see that the box office goes through phases like a year of vampires n wizards or currently the found footage syndrome? What do you think?
Delaina. Never in my career has it been more true that timing is as important in a sale as skill and craft. That being said, the present windows that open and close are so short that second guessing the market is near impossible. The good news is, once you've finished a script, nothing says you have to enter it into the spec race immediately. And because you own it, that window you think was closed may one day open again.
I am asking everyone in my network to at least check out my project and watch my pitch video for my new film http://www.indiegogo.com/exorcism You can donate as little as $1 but even if you don't want to donate you can help spread the word through Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to hear from you soon. All the best.
