A Kid Who Just Wanted To Make Movies and My Aha Moment in SCHIZOPOLIS (Part II) by Darrin Dickerson

"When the cold war of love meets the moment of truth."
Last winter, on a cold, dreary day, I sat in a coffeeshop and witnessed a lovers’ quarrel. In fact, I tweeted the entire event, like a reporter for a voyeurism news channel.
While I couldn’t hear a single word of the argument, the couple’s body language told a heartbreaking tale. The emotional recount tweeted in 140-character bits had hundreds of my followers on the edge of their seats and two emails from agents in my inbox.
I instantly knew this was the short film idea I had been waiting for.
Director and friend Michael Bekemeyer http://www.stage32.com/profile/14880/michael-bekemeyer will bring my words to life this June when we shoot IMPASSE with the amazing actor, Wonder Russell http://www.stage32.com/profile/2395/wonder-russell, portraying the woman in the coffeehouse, and John T. Woods http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1555255/ as her husband.
Also contributing to the film is film editor Eric Brodeur http://www.stage32.com/profile/18250/eric-brodeur, who had two films competing at Sundance this year.
