moreMy name is Kim Nunley and I am a writer living in the beautiful city of Oakland, California. I spent thousands of dollars and seven years of my life studying Kinesiology so that I could train athletes to excel at their sport, until unfortunately for my parents, I decided to stop being a wuss and follow my true passion. Now my life/work focus is on writing captivating screenplays and producing memorable films. I've written numerous feature and short length screenplays, some of which have received notable sentiments. I was a Top 12 Finalist in the 2010 Cyberspace Open, a short screen writing contest that requires the production of quality scripts under tight deadlines. My feature-length script, MY BROTHER MICK, was a semifinalist in both the 2009 Silver Screenwriting Competition and the 2010 Script Doctor Eric Screenwriting Competition. My feature-length action comedy, SUPER TED, was a 2010 Silver Screenwriting Quarterfinalist. Most recently, my feature-length script, QUEEN TO BE, was named a 2011 Austin Film Festival Second Rounder. In 2011, I wrote and produced my first short film, SLY SYLVESTER. It was just recently chosen as an official selection of both the 2012 Oakland International Film Festival and the 2012 Sacramento International Film Festival, where it was named Outstanding Nor Cal Comedy Short.
