moreThere are three places I have lived in the United States. I lived in the Mountainous Maryland-WV-Pennsylvania mountain area, where the Youghiogheny River crosses for 5 years. Mountains, tall trees, pine and oak, deer meat a plenty, picking guitarists here and there. I lived in Northern Arizona and Southern Utah for 3 years. I worked as a lumberjack, trails crew member, and as a forest steward. More recently, I lived in WNC (Asheville and Canton). I really like WNC it is so beautiful and so green. I love the landscape perhaps more than other favorite places. I love the trees too. The forests there are filled with deciduous trees, though there is an equal or greater amount of pine. The mountains still have wild turkeys and salamanders and edible fungi. There too, around Asheville, there are many terrific swimming rivers with gorges or waterfalls where you can best swim.
My Other favorite places to visit in the United States are Maine and New Hampshire, the Florida Keys, Seattle Washington, and British Columbia in Canada. Maine and New Hampshire are great places to go backpacking, and also great places to completely escape America. It's like another whole world up there. There's no noise, and the air is sweet and free. The weather is quite warm in the summer time. The Florida Keys are simply a great place to see tropical beaches inside the US. I went to Seattle, Washington for the first time when I was 16 years old to visit my 3 older half-sisters whom I hadn't met since I was a baby. Seattle is an excellent place to meet interesting people, find a good job and enjoy the luxury that Seattle inherits from her shipping industries. British Columbia is one of my favorite places on Earth. It is something completely to itself. BC is the coolest place the "Beat Poets" frequented in North America.
Today, I am in Egypt and soon will travel to France .
