Jones, born in New York, holds a degree in television and broadcast, became an on air radio personality in 1996, and it was there that she developed lasting business relationships with many individuals in the music industry and at record labels, which allowed for her to get an insiders track to finding out what it is that many industry executives look for when scouting talent, as well, it assisted her in finding out exactly what it is that consumers are looking for, through her day to day interactions that took place with her listeners, and also helps her in her capacity at Grind Mode Media, LLC.
In addition to being the promotions and marketing director/ internship coordinator of Grind Mode Media, LLC brands, Jones owns Red Dawn Promotions, which also consist of a record pool which distributes to an assortment of DJs, globally.
