moreI was starting out as a fashion,- advertising- and celebrity photographer in Vienna, Milan, Paris, New York and Munich more than thirty years ago. 20 years ago, I moved to Los Angeles to work for Vogue, Harper´s Bazaar, LA-Style, Elle and for fashion designers like Lorenzo, Emil Rutenberg and many others. My wife was an awarded film editor at this time. She talked me into becoming a camera operator/DP. Together, we established "Arthom Films", a LA based production company, to shoot mostly documentary films for different US-Broadcasters and Music Clips but also Commercials and Promotional Films. At that time I was shooting mostly on 16 or 35mm footage and my wife Susan edited that on a Steenbeck table. Later I took over the digital-editing-part for our projects. After my wife died from cancer, I started to work on feature projects. One of them was "Walking On Sunset" which was shot in 2002 in LA. It´s theater release was in 2003 and it was nominated and awarded at the "New York Independent Film Festival" in 2005. Great press critics brought me to continue my way in this direction. Since 2006 I was shooting thousands of studio-life-tv formats to be on air throughout the world - for Canadian Television to Spanish Television, from Brazilian Television to German Television. Additionally I am shooting also ENG news.
