His short films have been featured in several festivals, including the Los Angeles International Shorts Film Festival and the 10th Annual International Latino Film Festival in San Francisco.
In 2011, Luis directed a spec television pilot starring Spain's world-renowned singer Paloma San Basilio. He also co-directed Panasonic's Living in HD's Celebrity Hook Up webisode starring Mario Lopez.
In 2012, Luis directed a video for the National Council of the Raza (the NCLR), regarding the Latino’s economical struggles in today’s economy.
Luis’ newest venture is directing “The Other Door”, a pilot starring TV’s Harold Sylvester.
Luis' mission has been to incorporate minority diversity into mainstream media while giving back to local communities. Towards this end, he is currently serving as the Chair for KCET’s Hispanic Heritage Committee. In June 2012, KCET, the largest independent television station in the country, featured Luis in their monthly magazine, the "KCET Connected," which is sent to 2.3 million subscribers.
