James started his film and television career while still in college, writing and producing three science fiction episodes for a small community broadcast station in Texas.

James went on to produce and co-write the internationally distributed feature film "The Dreaded". This horror/suspense film put a new twist on the vastly popular vampire genre of the 90's. He later wrote and produced the independent television pilot "West Texas Khaki", a rural comedy set in Texas. James also worked on several documentaries and served as production manager for VideoPlus, Inc., a nationally known business television firm.

Expanding his knowledge in film, James gained valuable experience on studio films such as Paramount Pictures "Necessary Roughness" and Warner Bros. "Any Given Sunday" as a Production Assistant.

Currently, James spends his time developing his new production company, Ignite Productions & Entertainment, as well as writing. He has completed several works including the screenplay "Aurora", its proposed series off shoot "Alien Run", the development of the proposed series "Miles Chancey", a collaboration with producers Willie Boy Jr. and James B. Brandt, and most recently the screenplay "After the Fact" based on best-selling author Fred Saberhagen's novel of the same name.
