I’m an award winning filmmaker with a passion for activism.
I’m dyslexic. However that hasn’t stopped me from writing scripts & books, mostly for kids.
After graduating from London College of Communication I set up an award winning production company Mayan Films.

Within two years since Mayan Films was created I managed to develop new & innovative networking website for filmmakers www.bulletfilm.com
www.bulletfilm.com has a big following & is an amazing source of information for indie filmmakers. Among many other features, the website offers ready to use production documents & contracts as well as comprehensive list of film festivals.
It was 2010 when I decided that it was the right time to venture into self-publishing and this is how Mayan Books was born. All of my children books (plus loads of arts & crafts ideas for both parents & kids) can be found on this child friendly website www.mikolayandjulia.com
In 2012 Mayan Films made a huge leap & produced its first feature film “Anna & Modern Day Slavery”. The movie has been fully crowdfunded & the cast & crew came together from 4 continents & 11 countries thanks to our campaign.
A lot of people ask me what is my day job assuming that filmmaking & writing bring no revenue. Well, I have been fortunate enough to be able to combine my passion for filmmaking & writing into a consultation business.
I work with authors who want to turn their books into movies. I ghost write scripts for them or consult existing scripts as well as take the projects through the pre-production stage leading to the production.
I also help filmmakers and new brands to set up their crowndfunding campaigns (not an easy job if you are doing this for the first time.)
