Aaron Kinsley-Brooks started Lion Of Bushwick Studios in Bushwick, Brooklyn in 2016, in order to transform his love, talents, abilities and passion towards media and event production, into a viable platform, for developing, creating, producing and delivering artfully crafted, unique and commercially branded content that transcends the norm, while elevating the mundane logistics of production into an art form. He effectively built his career, unifying his ever expanding production juju, and rallied behind him a collective of the best production partners and resources available. Creating a dream team of game changers, dream makers, influencers and innovators. After spending most of his adult life as a successful drummer for iconic, grammy winning artists like Moby, Angela McCluskey, Lana Del Rey and electro-pop band Leisure Cruise, Aaron was asked by cohorts Laura Dawn & Daron Murphy, to manage the production arm of Art Not War, their progressive media production company, renown for creating unique, groundbreaking and highly effective political/cultural media campaigns, via no-bullshit, darkly visceral, oft satirical storytelling, impossibly quick deadlines, mission impossible logistics and an “A” list cadre of talent. During his tenure, the production team consecutively garnered 12 Pollie Awards and 9 Reed Awards from 2012-2015 for “Best” in Political Media Advertising, and continued to produce outstanding, bold and solid gold content. As a producer, production manager and general manager, Aaron gained a reputation as a passionate, creative and skilled, ninja-guerrilla style, “get it done” production facilitator, producing award-winning commercials, viral videos and media campaigns via Art Not War for progressive clients including: Michael Moore, Dog Eat Dog Films, Funny Or Die, MoveOn.org, Color of Change, globalzero.org, Van Jones’s Rebuild The Dream and Occupy Wall Street. He further honed and developed his teeth, claws and aspiring talents with Jodi Jones Studio, producing stylish commercial video and print media, winning two Cannes Silver Lion awards in advertising, producing for clients including: Mizuno USA, Valentino, Vogue, Dish TV and Bloomingdales Dubai; And as an Associate Producer/Senior Production Coordinator for Julie Pacino and Jennifer DeLia’s Poverty Row Entertainment, developing, producing and crafting an award winning indy feature “Billy Bates” and “The First”, a full length feature film. Wanting to branch out, expand, develop and create on a broader, more colorful production palate, Aaron joined forces with Jodi Jones and Sarah Kinsley-Brooks, his wife, creative partner and successful wardrobe stylist, set/interior decorator and event planner, to form Lion Of Bushwick Studios: A “new punk on the block” powerhouse full service, boutique production studio and collective for developing, creating, producing and delivering highly creative, compelling, engaging, disruptive and impactful commercial media and events, as a collective, with our partners, for our clients.
