Born the youngest of five and under the sign of Gemini, Amy Seddon knows acting and performing to be part of her calling. Childhood included many opportunities for make-believe and imagination, casting friends, a graciously abiding niece and at times her pets to play as cast mates – a cat in a bonnet fastened into a stroller comes to mind... After high school Amy went on to earn a BA in Psychology at CSU, Chico while being active in one of the most highly regarded national women’s fraternities - Pi Beta Phi.
Creative endeavors have always been her strong-suit. Regarding the world of story-telling, Amy loves the collaborative efforts of each individual in a project coming together with specific duties and purpose in such a uniquely designed way to create a powerful experience for an audience. She has always been interested in many different types of occupations, time period and points of view and acting is the best way for her to express as many and as much as possible. Improv classes with monthly performances finds her experimenting with a variety of characters and then some. This diversity has contributed to her ability to be in the moment. She’s been in numerous commercials, television, film, industrials, plays and print, all the while training to improve her craft.
Additional training includes Robert D'Avanzo, Ivana Chubbuck Institute, as well as recent workshops with Eric Morris, Corbin Bronson and Amy Jo Berman. Current work includes but is not limited to, four running commercials – Sunrise Children’s Hospital, One Nevada Credit Union, Energy Fit Nevada and Lexus as well as a role in a newly developed web series, “The Seer”, a movie, “Crossing Roads” and host/demonstrator in a “how-to” beauty tutorial for a major hotel/casino.
