Andrea Andresakis recently directed the solo show Undiscovered Works at The Gowanus Arts Center where it was chosen as “Director’s Choice” by the artistic director. New York directing credits: My Purple Wig (Off-Broadway); Spandex, a New Musical For All Sizes (Off-Broadway); Little Shop of Horrors (Theatre at St. Clement’s); The Little Prince (Merkin Concert Hall); Wait Until Dark (ACC Theatre); Lola Luning’s First Steps (Abingdon); Lee Blessing’s Down the Road; Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 (Wings Theatre); Neil Simon’s Star Spangled Girl (Playwrights Horizons). She was the Associate Artistic Director of the American Playwrights’ Theatre where she also directed several plays. In August 2015, she directed the Albee-esque play, The Egg Project for the NYC International Fringe Festival. Critics acclaimed “Andresakis manages to draw out some of the best performances I’ve seen this FringeNYC season” and “…this also serves as a wonderful example of Andresakis’s detail-oriented directing.
