I am a US Army veteran. I worked for the VA Healthcare System. I developed educational programs and conducted group and individual psychotherapy in a Substance Abuse Program for returning veterans. I performed these duties on a multi-disciplinary team.
Throughout my VA career, I answered congressional and constituent correspondence. I wrote for a newsletter staff and drafted responses to internal investigations.
Upon leaving this profession, I fell in love with writing. I decided to pursue my dream of writing for the movies in 2011.
I began writing and developing screenplays. I now have a daily habit of writing and have obtained several writing resources which enabled a continuing improvement of my craft.
I worked with a film company in Sidney for over two years developing skills.
I completed the ProSeries course from ScreeningU and I'm currently enrolled in the Masters Screenwriting Certification program to continue to elevate my writing. I focus on developing characters and subtext within the plot. My speciality is Crime/Thrillers. My goal is to continue to upgrade my projects so that they will stand out from the norm.
I am in contact with many optioned writers and producers around the world. Joining S32 has significantly improved chances of learning and meeting people who can turn scripts into a film.
S32 has fanned the flames of passion in the pursuit of accomplishing a dream of being paid to do what I love.
I attended a Robert McKee Seminar in New York, and it was an eye-opening experience. I loved NYC.
I'm looking for my next adventure in LA next spring.
Would love to share a cup of java with any S32 members. Happy writing.
