Currently a mature student (42) at Ruskin College, Oxford 2013-2015 - CertHE Writing for Performance- Distinction. FD Writing for Performance - Awaiting results in June 2015 predicted grade -Distinction.
Recently accepted a place at Central School of Speech and Drama, London for October 2016 start, Point of entry 2 BA (hons) Drama, Applied Theatre in Education, Writing for Performance. I am a confident writer, be it for stage, screen, Lyrics or poetry (page or stage). As yet unpublished, I have Twitter and Facebook pages dedicated to my writing. Writing is my greatest love, although I would enjoy any opportunity to work in any area of the theatre/film industry. I enjoy a challenge and thrive on learning new things. I'm reliable, easy to get along with and enjoy a wicked sense of humor. I have an awful lot of life experience having been a single parent for 13 years after leaving along term situation of domestic violence and abuse. My children are now 24 and 13 years, giving me a lot of freedom with my time, along with plenty of flexibility regarding woekinv hours. Domestic Violence and abuse is an area I am particlarly interested in working in, along with homelessness and countless social issues relating to young people. I believe that as a tool for raising awareness, theatre really can not be beaten.
