About Frances

Frances Welter :A performer in the entertainment business for over thirty years, Frances has appeared in contemporary comedies, cult classics and the last, true MGM musical. She has also appeared in soap operas, webisodes, numerous TV spots and hundreds of print ads – all while attending to the needs of a growing family.

Her television credits include co-starring and featured roles on Discovery Channel’s, Blood Relatives and Unusual Suspects, Lifetime’s, Tabloids and The Haunted House. In addition, she has done two shows on Comedy Central, TNT’s Rizzoli and Isles, HBO’s Pandemonium, network hits Frazier, Taxi, Knot’s Landing, and several others

She graced the silver screen in film, beginning with the camp, disco musical, Can’t Stop the Music, then added Pennies from Heaven, Father of the Bride 2, Poseidon, Tweak City, and Valentines Day to her credits. And her first Bollywood Movie “ In Singh”
Her national television commercial credits include starring spots for Samsung, AAMCO, Dell Computer, Coke, Grape Nuts Cereal, and Payless shoes. Major global brands have selected Frances to grace their ads as a model, such as Blue Cross, Sprint, IBM, Sony, Boston Market, Princess and Uniworld cruise lines.
Frances’ hosting credits include numerous infomercials, industrials , and the Documentary Channel’s, Red Carpet movie premiere coverage.
Her theatrical training began in dance at the Oakland Ballet, but then turned to acting where she studied Stanislavsky’s “Method” and Sandy Meisner’s acting techniques. Eventually, she went on to share those learning’s and experiences with her own acting students.

Frances was named the head of the acting department at John Robert Powers, where she wrote three acclaimed acting instructional manuals. At Macker Entertainment, Frances was a sought-after acting instructor who created professional kid and teen acting programs, for commercial, TV/film and modeling. She is a acting coach for private clients as well. Along with performing, she currently teaches classes for youth at the highly respected 3-2-1- Talent Showcase Acting Studios in La Crescenta.
