Gerard Cordero AKA "Vito"

Gerard Cordero was born in San Jose, California in the town of Santa Clara, but spent most of his life being raised in Queens, New York.
The question isn’t, when did you realize you wanted to be an Actor?, but “Why do you Act?”. Gerard said “I get to see how I can challenge myself physically and emotionally”, “It gives me an opportunity to make another person take their mind off their problems while they watch me perform”, “It’s in the moments of when I perform that I feel free”, that’s why I Act.
Although Gerard has never been formerly trained, he was enrolled in an Acting program during the duration of his college years. He has also had training under some acting coaches in NYC, while also attending various acting and casting workshops.
In 2012 Gerard was awarded “Best Action Actor” at the Urban Action Showcase held at HBO headquarters in NYC. He was commended for his performance by a panel of celebrity judges, which included martial artists/actors Michael Jai White and Kelly Hu.
Gerard has had the opportunity to work with talent like Tom Sizemore and Vincent Pastore in the TV mini-series “Witness to the Mob”, Benjamin Bratt and Jerry Orbach in “Law & Order”, Jim Caviesel and Taraji P. Henson in “Person of Interest”, along with a list of other well known talent.
Currently, Gerard landed a role on the season 2 finale epiosde of the hit TV series “Gotham”, where he plays the Strike Force Lieutenant. Gerard is also attached to multiple projects in pre-production and development ranging from TV Series Pilots with name talent attached like Ice T and Method Man, to feature films with talent like Eric Roberts, Michael Madsen and Joe Pantoliano.
When Gerard is not Acting, he likes to spend his free time with his family and friends. He maintains an active lifestyle dividing his time between weight training, training in martial arts and the gym, studying martial arts, playing sports and spending time with his best friend Niko (his Yorkie-Poo!).
