James H. Lilley

Former Marine and Howard County, Maryland Police Sergeant. Awards include
The Medal of Valor, 4 Bronze Stars, 4 Unit Citations, Governor's Citation, 2008 Author of the Year, and Fatal Destiny, The Carjacking Murder of Dr. Pam Basu was named Book of the Year. In 2011 promoted to the rank of 9th Degree Black Belt by 10th Degree Black Belt and Grandmaster Takeshi Miyagi. The first American to be promoted to Black Belt by Mr. Miyagi and one of only three Americans he has promoted to that rank. The journey with Mr. Miyagi from start to present is detailed in my book,
Mr. Miyagi and Me. I am also a lecturer at Johns Hopkins University in the Police Executive Leadership Program and the Master's Program of the Intelligence Analysis course.
Married to Jody Ann Lilley, one son, John and two grandchildren, Sarah (17) and
Ryan (14).
