Janelle Meraz Hooper

I'm a Hispanic/Anglo author from Oklahoma with seven published books, a novella, and many short stories. I am also the playwright for Geronimo, Life on the Reservation, a one-man show starring Rudy Ramos. Before I started my writing career, I was a museum docent for a large museum in Anchorage. Before that, I was a watercolorist. Before that, I did stained glass. Before that, I danced in a dance company. Then radio. And TV. As you can see, I've always been very practical (read: creative/broke).
