Lauren Winnett is a graduate animator of 2017 who is hitting the ground running. Having studied at the University of Texas in Arlington with Mark Clive and Daniel Garcia she had the privilege to work on presenting student screenings and doing transitions for the biannual student screenings.
She set up her own freelance studio and has been doing freelance work for over 4 years.
She has experimented with 2D, 3D and stop motion animation combining them to make visually appealing pieces. She has extended her abilities into motion graphics, digital design, editing, sound design and general post production work in an effort to make herself the "Swiss army knife" of animators.
Her wide interests have given her a variety of technical skills from which she can draw upon to create unique and vibrant worlds incorporating her knowledge and experience to make a project come together and bring fantasy to life within a set budget.
Lauren believes that the story and mood are the top priorities and that continuity and consistency is key when making visual designs. She has an interest and experience in every step of the animation process and grasps both the artistic and technical side of her craft, and merges them into a visually appealing collaboration of art and technique.
She has aided college professors in post production as a post production assistant, Films and Screenplay Dissemination/Research Assistance as well as a Motion graphics artist, making transitions for the student showcase as well as the animated intro in 2017.
