About Laurie

I am a teacher and award-winning published playwright living in NY. I spent ten years working with young actors on school stages, and have published five original plays that are now being produced around the world. I've completed a family-friendly rom-com screenplay, and am at work on two others including the story of a young female athlete bucking traditional gender expectations of family and society during the Depression era.

Unique traits: Former full-scholarship athlete who competed internationally. Knowledgable and passionate about sports and history, excels at writing dialogue, deadline-driven and creative. Experienced with writing comedy and drama for youth and family markets.
