About Marion

Marion was born in a small town in Waycross, Ga. It's located 76 miles just north of Jacksonville, Fl. He moved to the Maryland-DC-Virginia area as late teen. "I remember catching the Metro downtown to school" and later after working 5 years when I was working in telecommunications in Reston, Va, he was transferred to Atlanta, a co-worker asked if he would like to make some extra money working as an extra on tv. He started working as an extra on an Aaron Spelling production, 'Savannah', which also opened up doors in modeling.
"I pretended to be sick to leave early from my full-time job, to be an extra and be in that acting environment".
Late, he moved back to the DC area and begin to model with an agency and take acting classes and workshops, and after seeing himself on the prompter a spark was lit. But bills and rent had to be paid. So, now it's back to work and paying bills in the real world, so the acting thing had to wait. No such thing as a 'STARVING ACTOR' for Marion or for that fact a STARVING anything. Compromising a lot of things, food is not one. If it's one thing that his parents taught him, it was to work and pay your bills....be responsible. It's hard to do that as an actor, unless you've "made it" or working regularly. He did make some time to find a few modeling gigs.

FAST FORWARD TO 2009...Now he's in Tampa and married to his soul-mate Lizza, he somehow ended up in the acting community. He entered the Tampa Action Film Challenge. He's always considered himself active and would enjoy being in a action film. So, put the two together. He met some awesome guys that were making a comedic vampire movie called "Unit 256", for the 2011 Action Film Challenge and they needed vampires. Sounded fun, heck yeah, let's do it! " I noticed people looking at me like dude, you don't have to stay in character throughout the entire shoot, but in order for me to me to be convincing I have to leave Marion in the car, when I arrive for shooting, whether it's lines or no lines, you go 100 percent". Then immediately after filming Unit 256, I was fortunate enough to meet another group of talented guys shooting a movie called "The Replacement Theory". I was an agent chasing this guy that was being set up for an assassination. After shooting those chase scenes over and over(in dress shoes), I thought my feet would never recover, but it made for an awesome film. Later he was chosen for a worthy cause to be in a calendar for SPOT (Stop Pet Overpopulation Together) in Pinellas County, Florida as one of Tampa's Hottest Men. Anything for the doggies. "That's right, I'm a big animal lover also and have a soft spot for animals.

Later, Marion is on the acting track, trying to land parts and at the same time get practice, get exposed and meet others in the Tampa's acting community. He was casted in 'Starfist', a military sci-fi with ThirdHerd Films as Sgt. Hound Kelly. He's also completed shooting 'The Cut' with Suicide Films,as the lead in this movie. "My character is trying to catch this psycho serial killer, and he was casted for a part in 'The Hunter's Circle' and 'The Hunter's Moon' with Terminal 52 Films." I must say, the people in Tampa and Orlando's acting community have to be the nicest group that I've been around. Everyone supports each other. So, Tampa, i think I'll stay awhile." And as things seem to move forward with Marion and his wife, Lizza..........she's killed in a car accident on 9/16/2012. He immediately wants to quit acting, while others are saying don't. Lizza was an actress/photographer/jewelry-maker/artist. "I still feel a void in my life and as time passes, it's gotten better, especially when I'm acting. "I feel guilty still, because I was away shooting a movie and Lizza wanted to go to the beach and if I'd stayed home....oh well, nothing I can do now"
But, when I'm not acting....I wonder what she would be thinking or how proud my mom would be of me". Now that he no longer resides in Tampa, he drives from Georgia to Florida for acting gigs. "Now that I'm in a new chapter in my life without Lizza, I continue on my journey with the same God that gave me this passion and this talent"
