I'm Mark Gunnion, a graduate of Northwestern film school (BS, '83). In my day job, I name things (), and I was a pirate and online DJ for 10 years. In the 1980s, I was a performer, producer, and songwriter involved with several alternative musical acts in San Francisco, playing practically every venue in the city. My spec script KAMELEON is set in that world, and it is informed by my experiences there. It was a QuarterFinalist in 2015 in the Scriptapalooza Screenplay Competition. My second screenplay, FRAX, is an over-the-top, crazed Action/Monster movie. It made the Semis at GenreBlast and FilmQuest. My Third script, THE SWORD AND THE SERPENT, was an "Official Selection" at Famous Monsters of Filmland's Silver Scream Film festival and made the Top ten at the Buffalo Dreams Science Fiction Film Festival. My 4th script, NIGHTBREAK, was 1st Runner-Up at the Fantastic Planet Film Festival in Sydney Australia. I'm here to try and sell or option those screenplays, and to learn more about screenwriting and the industry.
Unique traits: I name things - products and companies - for a living. I'm currently writing my fifth screenplay. I was once played on Dr. Demento and I opened for David Bowie three times.
