My writing career in start with BA Creative Writing course at Chichester University finished 2007. A year later, somehow with no knowledge of the film industry start my MA Screenwriting course at the University of the Arts London, pass out 2011. Finished three scripts since then;
‘Queen, Country, Family’ (This fast paced drama is set against the backdrops of Afghanistan and England and brings together Scott, a very experienced Special Forces soldier, and Sarah his new naïve wife who believes if you hold hands around the world peace will prevail. Joined together in a colourful Druid Wedding Ceremony their happiness is short lived as Scott leaves for Afghanistan. Scott rushes home for the birth of his daughter Jenny. Life is changing for him for him but it takes time to sink in.
‘Revenge is mine’ In Syria, Kay (she is of mixed Arab/English blood) is pregnant; her Special Forces patrol is captured by Islamic State Terrorists. She hears the last of her future husband's defiant screams as he is beheaded causes Kay to miscarriage. Rage fills her. The tormenters are football supporters. They plan to bomb London. Kay will escape. She will have revenge.
‘Conflict’ Belfast 1979: In the back alleyways of Republican West Belfast battles are fought. The Special Forces of the British Army and the Fighting Units of the Provisional Irish Republican Army (PIRA) tunnel into the fabric of society. In an area no more than five miles square, both sides have on-going operations. In this war zone the Murphy family live. They are strong republicans who are at war with themselves. Sinead, in her late twenties, joined the Southern Irish army and graduated to the Rangers, Ireland's Special Forces. Showing a special aptitude for covert work she is chosen to work with the Brit Special Forces in Belfast. Sinead has childhood memories of her Uncle Francis having rough sex to her mother. With the help of the Brits she plans to destroy him.
