An asylee from Venezuela and Metepenagia Mi'kmaq by marriage is a community advocate, educator and writer who is passionate about equity and thought-provoking, compassionate content.
She writes screenplays, essays and poetry in both English and Spanish.
Rebeca has been a judge for film festivals including Portland Film Festival and PIFF and has mentored youth filmmakers.
She is currently an Analyst for Hollywood's #1 Script Coverage Service WeScreenplay and through Open Signal Community Media is making sure public services, political representation and federal funding are available for the most vulnerable Portlanders for the next 10 years through Census 2020 advocacy.
