Rebecca is a British Screenwriter/Playwright who recently had her comedy play REBEL REBEL produced in the UK to great acclaim as part of Bowie-inspired show CAN YOU HEAR ME MAJOR TOM? This year she has so far placed Finalist and Quarterfinalist in 6 US contests with her ensemble comedy ROADTRIPPERS (including the Stage 32 Comedy Screenplay contest). Her supernatural thriller THE FABLE OF THE WOUNDED HEALER has also placed Finalist, Semifinalist and Quarterfinalist in 7 esteemed screenwriting contests in the US and UK including Stage 32's SciFi & Fantasy contest 2017. And she recently won a Short Screenplay contest in NY and her comedy short is being produced later in 2017. After starting a career in journalism, Rebecca moved into film production, managing the Soho office of Producer Sarah Radclyffe (co-founder of Working Title). Rebecca then went on to produce commercials for the late Animation Director, Tony Cuthbert. She has completed hands-on film production courses including Directing for the Screen, advanced 35mm camera courses, where she wrote, DOP’d and edited a short film. She has experience pitching to industry professionals in Hollywood and the UK and is a regular delegate of the London Screenwriters and Austin Film Festivals, has supported/exec/associate produced two short films and one feature, and is excited about creating work that inspires people and lifts their spirits. One of her immediate goals is to extend her skills by venturing into TV writing but her long term target is to be the first female Writer in 40 years to write a Bond film.
