I am a trained Script Supervisor working in commercials, short films, and soon independent features. I was trained and mentored by Mark S Thomas, a Union Script Supervisor for over 20 years.
On set I am able to use my notes and pictures to keep eye-lines and background continuity no farther than a question away. I utilize a method that makes sure my notes, times, and reports are accurate and complete. I even make blocking diagrams with the camera setups, which are unsung heroes when picking up a complexly blocked, multiple-paged scene.
I am always prepared and organized so I can be quick and not disruptive. I understand that part of my job is to keep the production moving on time and for this reason I have helped save a lot of time by remembering little things like having extra scripts and turning my phone to airplane mode while the camera is rolling.
My goal is to use my experience catching mistakes, getting all needed coverage, and keeping scenes usable, to make sure the audience doesn't get distracted from the story we're all there to tell.
