Timothy Burnham

Screenwriter in Birmingham, Alabama

About Timothy

I have spent my life watching movies, writing stories, and not knowing where I fit in the world. One day, while I was pulling apart yet another film to the chagrin of my wearisome friends, I finally put the pieces together.

Since then, I taught myself what I could by watching movies, writing numerous shorts, conceiving, shooting, and partially completing various amateur projects, and now am finally starting to get results of which I can be proud.

I have completed one full length screenplay called The Today King,
am currently editing a second called Autonomous Hummingbird,
and have a working draft of a third currently called An Ode To You.

I have also written a number of short screenplays including: Glass Beach, Frozen City, and Wild Animals.

I am now attempting to take my first steps into the world of filmmaking as I continue to learn more and more and develop my skill as a writer and my eye as a director.

I do have experience reading and editing screenplays for others, critiquing and understanding films from an objective perspective, and I am always open to collaborate, offer my assistance on projects, or share my learnings in the world of film and writing.

The Desert Island Movies feature does not appear to be working, so I'll list some below:

The Prestige, The Social Network, Frances Ha, Arrival, Take Shelter, Beginners, Taxi Driver, Dog Day Afternoon, Repulsion, The Beaver, In Bruges, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Somewhere.
