Amber started performing at the early age of ten after her parents bought a camera one spectacular Christmas. They were horrified after finding out their nine-year-old daughter was writing a series called the “T&A Show.” A wave a relief washed over them after watching a spoof newscast Amber hosted with her cousin Tina to create the “Tina and Amber Show”. Amber always jumped on the opportunity to perform which led to experience in local commercials and shorts. Amber starred in her first feature film “Piece By Piece” at the age of nineteen which started a fire deep within her. After ruling things out with her doctor, she decided it must be the burning to create her own material. Since then she has written content for self-production, the 2011 Montana ADDY Awards, and the University of Great Falls. Her appreciation for sketch writing bloomed after accepting a position with the Brewery Follies- a comedy cabaret troupe in Virginia City, MT.
Amber wishes to use her experience at the Follies to create short films that make people laugh allowing them to take a break from their hectic world. Her aspiration also delves into scripts for spec and theatrical pieces that bring introspection. While currently finishing her B.A. from Southern New Hampshire, Amber can be found performing around Montana in an acoustic duet group called “High Horse” with her brother Phil Koesling. They are currently working with a full band to produce a modern alternative blues album for tentative release in May 2017. Amber doesn’t get discouraged when people tell her, “Get a job you hippie!” Instead, she buddies up to a mirror and practices saying, “Are you talking to me?”
