A native of Boston, I am currently pursuing my M.F.A. in Screenwriting at The University of Texas at Austin. I graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in The Writing Seminars & Film and Media Studies, immersing myself in both screenwriting and fiction writing while calling Baltimore home for four years. While at Hopkins, I served as Editor-in-Chief of Thoroughfare, the only multimedia literature and arts magazine on campus, and frequented the local arthouse movie theater. My favorite films are often independent or foreign dramas or documentaries. I love French language, literature, culture, and film. I also have an interest in American Sign Language and Deaf culture, and my knowledge of this unique community formed the basis for one of my feature screenplays. I most often write realist drama, but am excited to learn new things and explore new territory while at UT Austin.
