About Ana

I am an Eastern-European actress a Jewish-Italian mixer, originally from Romania.
I love traveling, singing jazz, dancing Argentinian tango and politics ( I also hold a master in Political Sciences).
I am the first and only Romanian actress who won a Fulbright grant to study acting in US upon which I holds an MFA in acting from USC. I did my BFA in Bucharest at UNATC, the most prestigious acting conservatory in the country. Following graduation for 2 years I became a member of the newest Romanian Regional Repertory Theater, Tony Bulandra where I had a complete experience of what repertory theater means from twice a day shows to national touring and international festivals.
For another 2 years I hosted popular entertainment TV shows at the national public television, TVR. Shortly after, I became a series regular in La Urgenta the equivalent of the American ER, directed by Andrei Zinca, who won both the filmmakers and the television professionals Romanian Awards (UCIN and APTR) for Best TV Show.
The most relevant work I've done in my country was in the feature Umilinta, selected at Cairo International Film Festival. Also in 2008, three of the shows I performed in participated at the biggest National Comedy Festival, Festco and Rromeo Thaj Julieta won the award for Best Show in OFF Section.
In the years spent in Hollywood, I played in 10 theater productions and 6 short films including ‘Stepping Out’ that was selected at Short Corner Film Festival in Cannes and won LA Film Independent for Best Director.
I recently returned from Romania, where I completed my first feature American film, ‘Far from Here’ and I was invited this summer to attend the Moscow Art Stanislavski School from Harvard University.
