About Anastasiya
Born and raised in Belarus, where she studied the International Affairs and American Culture atthe Belarusian State University, Anastasiya Rul moved to the United States in 2010. She earned aBachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans in 2014.However, art has always been one of Anastasiya’s passions. At the age of nine, she appeared onthe runway for her mother’s collection, attending a local drama theatre, a musical school,gymnastics and dance practices. As a university student, Anastasiya continued her theatricalactivities in Belarus. While in the United States, she has been working various positions on filmproductions in New Orleans. This has allowed her to network with a wide array of professionalsin the entertainment industry. Anastasiya’s primary interest in film had been acting until recentlywhen she decided to expand her expertise to screenwriting, producing, and directing. She madeher first short film Dinner For Two which was screened at the University of New Orleans FilmFestival 2015. Anastasiya assisted local producers in preparing budgets, helped produce AndreaKuehnel’s thesis film Us Against The World, which won the Best Screenplay and Best Pictureawards at the UNO Film Fest 2015, and has recently produced the short film Rite by MorganRoberts. The latter two projects have been accepted to the New Orleans Film Festival 2015.Anastasiya played a part in Warner Bros’s Geostorm (2016) and has a couple of significant roleslined up in the coming year. All the while, she continues to master her acting skills, studyingIvana Chubbuck’s technique and taking various self-improving classes.
