About Andrzej
Student of composition and art education regarding the art of music (specialization choral conducting) at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland.
In 2019, he received an honorable mention at the 2nd Krzysztof Penderecki International Competition for Young Composers, he won first place in the 5th Krzysztof Penderecki Composition Competition organized as part of the 9. NDI Sopot Classic 2019 festival. Received an artistic scholarship under the COMPOSER.PL project organized by Agata Zubel and Michał Moc for artistic residency at West Fyords of Iceland .
In December 2019 he received honorable distinction at the 2019 15th SUN RIVER PRIZE Students’ New Music Composition Competition CHENGDU-CHINA.
In June 2020 he received a scholarship for taking masterclasses in Lugano in Switzerland during Ticino Musica Festival, sponsored by Art Mentor Foundation Lucerne from Switzerland.
In May he received the 2nd Award in the 6th Krzysztof Penderecki Composition Competition organized as part of the 11. Sopot Classic 2021 festival.
In October 2021, he received the second prize at the 1st St. Christopher organized by the Vilnius City Municipality St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra.
His works have been premiered in Poland and abroad as part of international music festivals by, among others The Orchestra of the Polish Chamber Philharmonic in Sopot, Quatuor Diotima in Paris, and Šv. Kristoforo Kamerinis Orkestras in Vilnius.
He was awarded the Scholarship of the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage for outstanding achievements in the 2021/22 academic year and the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music Rector's Scholarship for the best students for 2021/22.
