About Anil
Anil is a multi-tasking, creatively diverse, International award winning independent filmmaker.
Cinema and the power of the image as story is his Dolce Vita.
Anil`s entry into the London Screenwriters Festival Challenge of 2012, NEIL, was one of the 23, (out of 127) films to be selected for its feature film concept '50 Kisses'. An internationally crowd created feature film with multiple stories connected by one thing – a Valentines kiss. The film had its world premiere on February 13th 2014 in London and Anil won three awards on the night: Editing, Music & Production.
Anil won a film challenge in 2011 to interpret a winning script at the London Screenwriters Festival 2011 based on the London Riots. Films were judged by Paul Greengrass (director), Philip Bloom (DP), Eddie Hamilton (Editor), Russell Mulcahy (Director), Chris Collins (BFI) and Jeremy Bolt (Producer)
Anil was recipient of a top editing award in 2006 for his film editing work on the neo-realist cinematic opus Ala Verde Ala Pobre. Editing for avant-garde director Briccio Santos, (recently made an official member of the French Légion d’Honneur 2013.) it was selected for Rome's inaugural film festival in 2006 for its European premiere. It's sequel which Anil also edited and scored in 2007, Ala Suerte Ala Muerte, officially screened at the 2008 Asiatica Mediale in ROME.
As a film screenwriter his 60s inspired action/thriller was a talent finalist at the TPM Berlinale 2006 (Berlin Film Festival).
For over 15 years and concurrently running with his film work, Anil has internationally provided inspirationally driven B2B solutions, utilising video communication for major corporations.
Clients have included: Unilever, Sony, NTL, Novell, Gartner, Compaq, British Airways, Volkswagen, Samsung, Lamborghini, Lenovo, Capco, IBM, Cisco, HP, CBRE, Three, Barclays Corporate Finance, Astra Zeneca, Syngenta, to name a few.
Anil is currently working on his first feature THE KILLING.
