Anna Huckabay’s experience with performance is rather eclectic; ranging from touring sections of the US as an R&B opening act, to touring both Korea and Japan with an experimental Butoh- inspired music theatre troupe.
As an actress, she has worked on various independent film projects. Some projects include; playing the lead role of Isabel, the punk rock princess, in Matthew Lillard's (SLC Punk) short film “Fat Punk” opposite Jacob Wysocki (Pitch Perfect, Terri), and appearing as an unconventional video vixen in the award winning music video “Jerk it” (SXSW 2009 Grand Jury Prize winner).
Anna was first introduced to the world of film when she was approached at a music festival in Crestone, Colorado and offered to test for a role in an indie feature that was shooting in the small town. She was cast in the lead role of Sara, the youngest sister, in the political drama “Over Troubled Waters”, about two sisters fighting to save their family's alligator farm.
Since then, Anna has studied with Ron Burrus (Direct line to Stella Adler), John Jacobsen (direct line to Uta Hagen), and at the Upright Citizens Brigade. She can most recently be seen playing the role of Lilly, the hipster goth, in the award wining super hero/zombie web series "Phoenix Run" (Spirit of Comic Con New Orleans) and is currently preparing to act in a feature film that is shooting this January (2016), as a raver named DMZ.
When she is not on a set, she can be found practicing yoga, skateboarding, surfing, and making music with her friends!
