After spending the bulk of her childhood in a haunted 4-story warehouse from the 1900s, located within the quaint Kensington borough of Philadelphia, Bianca Crespo ventured to Los Angeles, intent on propelling her writing career. She graduated from Temple University with a concentration in English Literature, becoming a Development Consultant for Millennium Films immediately following her last year. After working for Millennium for five tremendous years, in addition to delving keenly into the bewitching Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences archives and assisting Practical Effects powerhouse Autonomous FX in the midst of her off/on set production work, writer/director Bianca established Santa Mira Pictures in Burbank, California in the summer of 2017.
Raised on Old Hollywood talkies and silent films from her Polish mother's side, as well as horror--drenched flicks from her Portuguese father, Bianca engrossed herself in pioneering women cinema, transcending themes from her heavily involved cinephile upbringing. Utilizing her travels in England, Portugal, Spain, and Italy, to fuel her rich and wild film taste in European culture, Bianca created Santa Mira Pictures to capture her most unusual stories. With a capable, seasoned production team, she hopes to hear your screams of delight... or terror... and welcomes you to her blossoming crypt.
