Happy Sunday Creative Army!
First of all, congratulations to all of you who have already participated in our monthly Introduce Yourself Weekend! Thousands of connections have been made between entertainment creatives and professionals from every corner of the globe. Whether you are a long-time member, or brand new to Stage 32, take a moment to pop over to the Introduce Yourself Lounge and say hello before the end of the weekend. Now, grab some fresh coffee and let's dive in to this week's fresh content.
First up, The Hollywood Reporter has a series of amazing roundtable conversations featuring the entertainment industry's best and brightest filmmakers, actors, screenwriters, and professionals. In this actor roundtable, they sit down with Kate Winslet (Ammonite), Zendaya (Malcolm & Marie), Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman), Vanessa Kirby (Pieces of a Woman), Andra Day (The United States vs. Billie Holiday), and Glenn Close (Hillbilly Elegy). This powerhouse group of actors chat about common misconceptions about acting, balancing the craft and the business of acting, how to prepare to play a real person, and more.
Next up, the folks over at Film Riot have put together an amazing video featuring free resources to help you make your short film. They cover the process from pre-production to post-production and all of the free resources you can use to help along the way. Whether you are a first time filmmaker or a veteran, this video has some great tips for you.
