Happy Sunday, guys! Hope you're having a great weekend. It's been an inspiring one around these parts with another lively edition of Introduce Yourself weekend. If you haven't posted or contributed, you're missing out on what's been a July record for new connections made here on Stage 32. Join the biggest online networking party here.
For Coffee and Content this week, I have two items I think you'll find inspiring and motivating. First up, I often receive letters, private messages or simply get approached at speaking engagements by creatives who have a hard time getting their engines running. They have the ideas, they have the will, but they just can't seen to get out of the starting block.
Procrastination is something we all deal with. And it can be debilitating. But I'm here to tell you, it can be tackled. We'll look at how in Why You Procrastinate (And What You Need to Do to Stop).
Next up, another subject that many struggle with. It seems like every Introduce Yourself Weekend, we're bombarded with letters from members asking for advice on how to network. What are the best practices? Should I place expectations on myself or, for that matter, on other people? How much work do I need to put in before I start seeing results?
It's true, networking and relationship building comes easier for some than for others. But with a strategy, repetition and commitment, I promise you that you'll not only see results, but look forward to the process. We look at that more with 3 Ways You Can Create Meaningful Social Media Relationships Today.
You'll notice that both of these articles were written by me for the Medium platform. So, if you enjoy them, I have 3 asks:
1 - Applause
At the bottom or left side of each article, you'll see an applause button. Please press and hold the button. The more applause, the more Medium exposes the material to their members. My aim, of course, is to inspire and motivate as many (willing) creatives as possible.
2 - Follow
If you click my name at the top of either article, you'll be brought to my Medium profile page. You will see a subscribe button. Please fee free to follow me. You can also scroll down to see other articles I've published on the platform.
3 - Share
Finally, and as always, I ask you to share this material with those you believe would benefit from reading.
I welcome your thoughts and musings in the comments section below. I hope you have a fabulous Sunday and a creative week ahead.
