Happy Saturday Stage 32!
As many of you may know, I host an Instagram LIVE every week on @stage32 highlighting some amazing Stage 32 members from all over the world. We cover everything from how to sell a TV movie, how to ace self-tape auditions, how to research your way to the top of the entertainment industry and more. Recently, I had the supreme pleasure of chatting with two powerhouse Stage 32 members that have been working hard to make magic happen in their entertainment careers in 2021 - and they have some great tips to share with you.
First up, I chat with Athens, Greece-based Stage 32 member and actor, Athina Kefalopoulou about her blog Stage 32: An International Actor's Best Friend. Athina shares her first-hand experience networking and making connections on Stage 32, no matter where you hang your hat in the world! Her inspirational tips and experiences are great for anyone pursuing any type of entertainment career from any corner of the world.
Next up, I had a really helpful chat with writer/director TJ Marine about how he got distribution on his first feature film. TJ talks about the process of making his indie feature from pre-production all the way to distribution and his unique experience of making a feature out of four separate short films. TJ gives tons of great tips and advice on the distribution process from attending film markets to sending screeners directly to companies.
Hello! My name is Taylor C. Baker and I am incredibly honored to be the Director of Community here at Stage 32. I get to help our community share their stories on the Stage 32 blog, and it is true joy personified! If you have a pitch for a Stage 32 blog post - I would love to hear it! Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your pitch and your favorite movie + corresponding snack (just for fun!)
A little about me... I am an actress, writer, and professional goofball.
On-screen, you can find me on the award-winning digital series Female Friendly, which I had the pleasure of co-creating and writing as well. Additionally, my dimples graced the tv-sphere on Lucifer, where I played a southern roller derby queen opposite of the devil himself on Fox/Netflix. My natural southern roots strike again when I play Helene on Polygonerz, now streaming on Amazon.
On stage, I'm known as the comedienne "Trixie Treble", where I have been humbly dubbed "Lucille Ball in a Garter Belt". Simply put: adorned in bedazzled ensembles, I sing parodies while expertly executing awkward dance moves - usually while eating a baguette (or a cupcake, depending on my mood).
Recently, I launched The Great Taylor C. Baker Show where I am baking my way through The Great British Bake Off technical challenges in hopes to live up to my namesake and become a better baker. Follow along with my baking (mis)adventures on YouTube and Instagram @taylorcbaker
