Happy Saturday Stage 32!

As many of you may know, I host an Instagram LIVE every week on @stage32 highlighting some amazing Stage 32 members from all over the world. We cover everything from how to shoot a short film 100% remotely to how to how to master the art of a director/composer relationship and more. Recently, I had the supreme pleasure of chatting with two powerhouse Stage 32 members that have been working hard to make magic happen in their entertainment careers in 2021 - and they have some great tips to share with you.

First up, I chat with Stage 32 member and screenwriter, Gregg McBride, about his amazing Stage 32 blog The #1 Mistake Writers Make When Trying to Sell a TV MovieGregg wrote the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, A Heavenly Christmas starring Kristin Davis, Eric McCormack and Shirley MacLaine. Gregg has written for Hallmark, MTV, The Disney Channel, and more and during our chat he shares some amazing insider tips and tricks about how to set yourself up for success when writing and pitching a TV movie.

Next up, I have a lively conversation with New York City-based filmmaker and Stage 32 member,Dennis Cahlo! I first met Dennis on Instagram after he posted an epic video talking about his experience pitching his project Lonely Hearts on Stage 32. I immediately reached out to Dennis to ask if he was interested in writing a blog for the Stage 32 community and he came back with brilliant enthusiasm and this awesome article about how to turn a "pass" into a positive experience! This is a super inspirational conversation for anyone working in the entertainment industry and experiencing rejection.

About Taylor C. Baker

Read the Screenplay for Sofia Coppolas ON THE ROCKS

Hello! My name is Taylor C. Baker and I am incredibly honored to be the Director of Content & Branding here at Stage 32. I get to help our community share their stories on the Stage 32 blog, and it is true joy personified! If you have a pitch for a Stage 32 blog post - I would love to hear it! Email me at with your pitch and your favorite movie + corresponding snack (just for fun!)

A little about me... I am an actress, writer, and professional goofball.

On-screen, you can find me on the award-winning digital series Female Friendly, which I had the pleasure of co-creating and writing as well. Additionally, my dimples graced the tv-sphere on Lucifer, where I played a southern roller derby queen opposite of the devil himself on Fox/Netflix. My natural southern roots strike again when I play Helene on Polygonerz, now streaming on Amazon.

On stage, I'm known as the comedienne "Trixie Treble", where I have been humbly dubbed "Lucille Ball in a Garter Belt". Simply put: adorned in bedazzled ensembles, I sing parodies while expertly executing awkward dance moves - usually while eating a baguette (or a cupcake, depending on my mood).

Recently, I launched The Great Taylor C. Baker Show where I am baking my way through The Great British Bake Off technical challenges in hopes to live up to my namesake and become a better baker. Follow along with my baking (mis)adventures on YouTube and Instagram @taylorcbaker
